Thank you for your interest in becoming an egg donor. Being an egg donor is extremely rewarding and takes only about 6-8 weeks of your time. Though this is just a short time to you it will forever change someone’s life by helping them become parents. Egg Donation is a gift of Hope because so many other factors must fall into place for that little embryo to implant and form a baby. Without a young healthy minded woman to help give the gift of a healthy egg that HOPE of having a baby would never exist in the lives of many today. Koru Surrogacy & Beyond is dedicated to educating people about the joys egg donation can bring into someone’s life. If you would donate blood to save someone’s life, why wouldn’t you donate Hope to give life to a dream?
There are three different types of Egg Donors:
Anonymous: The donor knows the intended parent/s only by initials and state that they live in. No other information is given. We do allow our anonymous donors to find out how many eggs are retrieved/ fertilized and if pregnancy results so that you can have that for your future egg donation records. But you will not find out any other information about the intended parent(s) you are helping.
Semi-Known: The egg donor knows the intended parent/s first name, state and possibly email back and forth. Semi-known donors sometimes receive email updates and photos if desired. But no personal information is given out about the donor or the intended parents. Most semi-known donation matches do not meet each other.
Known: The egg donor knows the intended parent(s) first and last names, state, email back and forth, phone calls, meet, and will keep in contact with each other. Photos and email updates are done frequently throughout the child’s life.
We understand that there is limited information out there about egg donation. We would like to offer you the opportunity to speak with a donor that has experienced either being a known or anonymous egg donor. Please feel free to contact us to speak to a donor to help you decide which is best for your family.
