The Steps you will take to become an Egg Donor
  • Inform us which type of egg donation you are interested in. Then we will send you a questionnaire to fill out and the release form. Once we have received all three of these items we will set up a time for a phone interview.

  • We will then present your profile to couples currently in the Koru agency looking for an egg donor. If we do not have a “right” match for you in our agency we will then advertise for you trying to find you the match you desire.

  • After a couple chooses you we will then send out their profile to you. If you approve their profile we will then contact your couple’s reproductive endocrinologist (RE) to set up all initial screening. We will also make sure that all your previous pregnancy records (If you have any) are sent to the RE for his review.

  • Some reproductive endocrinologists (RE) require the egg donor and/or her partner to meet with a psychologist. Along with the psychological interview egg donors will usually be required to take the MMPI, which is a 500-question, psychological assessment test. Egg Donors will also have blood-work done to test for sexually transmitted diseases (STD), HIV, and genetic testing done to verify compatibility with the sperm.

  • After your blood-work and psychological evaluation you will then meet with the reproductive endocrinologist (RE) and begin the egg donor journey. We will make sure you are represented by a lawyer that has some egg donor experience for your contract negotiations in which we provide the agreed upon fees to both your lawyer and the intended parents (IP) lawyer to help make contracts go quickly and smoothly.

  • Once contracts are signed you will then receive your protocol and calendar of your (IVF) in-vitro fertilization transfer. We make sure you understand your medical instructions and medications.
